Who We Are

The mission of the Emerald Society of Missouri is to preserve the Irish culture and traditions while promoting the contributions of our ancestors. Additionally, we aim to recognize the accomplishments of Irish-Americans in Law Enforcement and other public safety professions.

We accomplish this in several ways.  We participate in Irish events throughout the region hosted by other Irish organizations.  These events include the Hardhats, Hoses and Handcuffs event wherein the AOH honors Irish persons from labor, fire and law enforcement.  Additionally, we participate in the Annual Dogtown St. Patrick's Day Parade, the Easter Rising Memorial, The Emerald Ball and the Irish Country Fair.

On a national level we are a member of the National Conference of Law Enforcement Emerald Societies and participate in the fall conference and the Police Week Memorial March in Washington D.C.
