Special Awards
In May, 2017, Emerald Society of Missouri Sergeant-at-Arms, Sgt. Michael O'Connell Jones was selected as the Irish Policeman of the Year by the National Conference of Law Enforcement Emerald Societies
AOH Irish Law Enforcement Officer of the Year
Each year the Ancient Order of Hibernians award an Officer from St. Louis Metropolitan P.D. and an Officer from another jurisdiction in the Metropolitan Area.
In addition to being recognized at an annual dinner, the recipients lead the Dogtown St. Patrick's Day Parade with the AOH designated Master of Ceremonies.
